Membership levels and DUES

Current Member dues for both Proprietary and Social members are $250 per quarter, paid in advance and due quarterly on Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1, and Oct 1.  Members may pay their dues further in advance in quarterly increments.

PROPRIETARY MEMBERS

The owners of each lot lying within the the plat of Louise Park (see MAP) are Proprietary members of Sylvia Lake Country Club, Inc.  Proprietary memberships are automatically transferred with the sale of the land, and all Proprietary property owners with Louise Park are legally obligated to pay dues, fees and assessments as prescribed in the bylaws of Sylvia Lake Country Club, Inc.

Persons not qualified for Proprietary membership may be eligible to become non-voting Social Members upon application and approval by a majority of the Board of Directors of Sylvia Lake Country Club, Inc.  Social Members are required to pay an initiation fee of $150, regular dues, fees and assessments.  Social Members are typically residents of adjoining properties in the Northwest end (west of 8601 71st ST NW). In addition, long-term tenants who wish to obtain access privileges may be considered for Social Membership, assuming all responsibilities and costs therein. 

  • Input and feedback from Social members is highly valued by the SLCC Board of Directors. Washington state law prohibits voting by members who do not own real property within the jurisdiction of SLCC. Therefore, pursuant to RCW 68.38.015, Social members may not vote, but may attend and participate in all SLCC meetings, benefits and activities as defined by the SLCC Board of Directors.

Payment Options

  • CREDIT CARD AUTO-RENEWAL (preferred) - Simplify your life!  When you select our auto-pay option, you will enter your credit card information, and then your dues will automatically be charged and applied to your membership dues invoice each quarter.  Your payments will automatically post to your account, and you can access your account, update your information, or cancel at any time.   • CREDIT CARD PAY EACH QUARTER - You will be invoiced each quarter, and you can simply click the link in your invoice to pay online.  You can store your credit card information, but you will need to click and pay each quarter.  Alternatively, you can log in and pay your balance.
  • CHECK BY MAIL - You may pay by check and mail to 8602 71st ST NW, Gig Harbor, WA 98335.  As checks must be processed manually by our hardworking volunteers, it may take some time for your payment to post to your online account.  
  • CHECK BY DROPBOX - You may pay by check and place it in the black drop box marked "SLCC", located in front of 8302 71st ST NW on Jan 1, Apr 1, July 1, and Oct 1.  As checks must be processed manually by our hardworking volunteers, it may take some time for your payment to post to your online account.  If you are making a late payment to the drop box, please send an email to treasurer@sylvialakecc.org to alert our volunteer.
  • PAYING DUES IN ADVANCE - Membership Dues are regularly paid in advance at the beginning of each quarter (Jan 1, Apr 1, Jul 1 and Oct 1).  Members can pay the next quarter ahead at any time (Login to your member profile and click RENEW). Security: Sylvia Lake Country Club, Inc. does not store your credit card data. Data is transferred to our Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard accredited payment gateway, Affinipay.  

Payment Policies

  • SLCC members whose accounts are 30 days past due or more will be assessed a 1% monthly interest charge applied to the total outstanding balance (12% Interest compounded monthly).
  • SLCC members whose accounts are 60 days past due or more will be considered "lapsed” and will be assessed an additional $50 Administrative Late Fee. SLCC membership privileges and voting eligibility will be suspended (with Gate Access Code deactivated), and their access to "members-only" privileges on the club website will be suspended until the account is paid in full.
  • SLCC Social members whose accounts become more than 90 days past due are eligible for termination. Once terminated, a reinstatement fee of $150 will be assessed in addition to the full balance due, including all late charges and collection costs, and Social Membership can only be reestablished with approval of the Board of Directors
  • SLCC Proprietary members whose accounts become one year or more past due are eligible to have a lien recorded on their real property
  • Pursuant to RCW 64.38.20(11), a member may appeal balance disputes by notifying the SLCC Board of Directors in writing of their request for a hearing at any regularly scheduled meeting or by requesting a special meeting of the Board.
  • As a courtesy, SLCC regularly sends email reminders and invoices to any member who has an account balance. Members can view their account balance online at any time by logging into our website, and are expected to pay on time, regardless of whether or not reminders or invoices are received.
  • All costs of collections, including but not limited to liens, legal fees, and/or collection agency, is borne by the property owner against whom they are levied.
  • All property owners within the plat are required to pay dues and assessments. Each separate residence or unoccupied/vacant property will be assessed as one membership. For the purpose of membership assessments, additional lots without a separate residence owned by the same person or entity are considered one property. Each Proprietary member will continue to have one membership vote regardless of the number of properties, lots, or residences owned.
  • RENTAL PROPERTIES: Proprietary Members in good standing may loan their member privileges (including gate access code) to their tenants, and must notify the board of directors of their intention. The Proprietary Member always retains their vote. The responsibility for payment of dues remains with the Proprietary Member regardless of residential status and may not be transferred to the tenant. Should the owner wish to retain their privileges, or if the long-term tenant wishes to serve on the board, the tenant may be considered for Social Membership, assuming all responsibilities and costs therein.
  • A $50 transfer fee is assessed for new proprietary members when any property ownership within the plat is transferred.
  • New member applications are subject to current quarter membership dues beginning on the closing date, pro-rated to the nearest month.
