September 3, 2024 - SLCC Board of Directors Meeting

Call to Order & Minutes:

• The meeting was called to order at 6:08 p.m. All present except Samson, Todd, Linda & Logan.
• We agreed to approve the minutes via email.

Correspondence:

• A door hanger was placed on Pam Hoffman's door on 8/13. She has not logged in or responded to email.

Financial Reports:

• Our current account balance is $16,246.79
• Aging accounts totaled $4,393.03
• All agreed that the sample survey sent looked good & ready to send to members.
• We need to revisit the budget every May.
• The minimum essential reserve is $7000 each year. The plan is to move funds on a quarterly bases rather than 1x/yr.

Committee Reports:

• Activities - Coco Movie night was cancelled due to storm.
• 10/26 will be Halloween in the 'Hood that will include pumpkin painting, trick or treating. Send SAVE the Date. Bring lights
• Insurance - slide to be dealt with next year
• Maintenance - sports court looks great & tree removal went well.
• Beautification - Next date to clean is Sept. 22 from 9-noon. To do list: shed roof, ramp & cement for cracks.

New Business:

• Policy updates - add footnotes to bylaws. We need to define process for appealing late fees per RCW requirements (members may attend BOD meeting to appeal). 14-day notice of budget & date of annual mtg. Work in budget in March.
• If an annual audit is required, 67% of membership in attendance at the annual meeting can vote to waive the audit.
• Per code, we will add member's address to each member's name in the directory (accessible only by members when logged in).
• Committee creations - Send letter to solicit help with committees
• Sports court lighting & security system - add lighting & get bid for security cameras.
• Lake health - Hoping Jacob will write letter to distribute to members about cutting cattails on lake frontage.
• Safety items - Trevor to attach First Aid kit in the cabana

Next meeting date: Nov. 7th at 6 p.m. at Lisa Wortham's home
